Crucial enhances its Pro Gaming memory lineup with DDR5-6400 modules
Crucial boosts its Pro Gaming DDR5 range with black and white 6400 MT/s kits
Crucial has extended its Pro Gaming DDR5 memory lineup with new DDR5-6400 modules, delivering enhanced speeds to customers without a significant price increase. In fact, their Black Gaming Pro 32GB (16GB x2) DDR5-6400 kits cost $118.99, the same as their DDR5-6000 did. Now, their DDR5-6000 kits are available for $96.99 on Crucial’s website.
These new pro Gaming DDR5 memory kits will be available in Black and White as 2x16GB kits. These new kits are both intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO compatible, with DDR5-6000 and DDR5-6400 memory profiles.
DDR5 is evolving, and so are modern gaming CPUs. The DDR5 memory speed “sweet spot” is increasing, with DDR5-6400 replacing DDR5-6000 as the best price-to-performance offering. Faster memory kits ship at premium prices, but DDR5 6000/6400 deliver solid speeds that are affordable and broadly compatible with modern CPUs.
Games like Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Testing Here) highlight the benefits of fast DDR5 memory in games. Slower memory modules can prevent users from getting the most out of their gaming systems, especially for games that aren’t GPU-limited.
Personally, I am happy to see the speeds of mainstream gaming DDR5 memory kits increase. Let’s hope that faster DDR5 memory kits continue to become more affordable.
