G.Skill launches high-speed CL17 4400MHz memory kits for Intel’s Z490 platform

With every major CPU launch comes a new series of G.Skill optimised memory, DRAM kits which are designed to deliver users a great balance between tight memory timings and high data rates. This trend holds true for Intel’s latest Z490 platform and Comet Lake processors, with the company offering buyers a wide range of CL17 4,000MHz memory kits. 

In G.Skill’s Trident Z Royal family, the company is now offering 16GB (2x8GB) and 32GB (2x16GB) kits of 4,000MHz, 4,133MHz, 4,266MHz and 4,400MHs DDR4 memory with CL17-18-18-38 timings. 

These kits offer their users a little bit of everything, tight timings, high speeds and high DIMM capacities. As the PC market moves forward, 16GB DDR4 DIMMs will become a lot more common, especially as the gaming market moves to faster storage standard and consoles with more unified DRAM. 

ASRock has tested its new Z490 optimised memory kits with MSI’s MPG Gaming Plus motherboard and an Intel i5-10600K processor. In addition to this, G.Skill’s DDR4-4400 CL17-18-18-38 32 GB (16 GB x2) memory kits are seen tested on ASRock’s Z490 AQUA motherboard and the Intel Core i9-10900K processor, as shown in the screenshot below.
