G.Skill launches the world’s first 256GB low latency DDR5-6000 CL32 memory kit
G.Skill has the perfect memory kit for creators using Ryzen, delivering low-latencies, DDR5-6000 speeds, and 256GB of cappacity
G.Skill has officially revealed a new ultra-high-capacity memory kit that targets AMD’s Ryzen platform. With 256GB (4x64GB) of capacity, these DRAM modules are made to handle the toughest workloads. This includes AI workflows, heavy content creation, and other advanced workstation use cases.
These new memory kits don’t just offer high capacities, they also deliver high speeds at low latencies. With DDR5-6000 speeds and CL32 timings, these modules are optimal for Ryzen 9000-based systems. Below is a screenshot of G.Skill’s new kit being tested with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU on an ASUS ROG Crossahri X870E Hero motherboard.
If DDR5-6000 speeds are not high enough for you, G.Skill has also demonstrated the overclocking potential of these modules by showcasing DDR5-7000 speeds on an MSI MEG X870E Godlike motherboard. Even with 256GB of memory, high speeds are still achievable on AMD’s Ryzen 9000 platform.
Even on lower-end motherboards, like MSI’s MAG B850M Mortar WIFI, G.Skill has shown that their 256GB kits are stable. Below, we can see this kit test AMD’s Ryzen 9800X3D CPU. Note that G.Skill has been able to overclock these modules to DDR5-6400 speeds, a memory performance sweet spot for Ryzen 9000 overclocking.
G.Skill has confirmed that these new modules will become available soon through its partnered retailers. Furthermore, these kits will use SK Hynix memory ICs. They will also become available in Trident Z5 RGB forms.
