G.Skill releases low latency CL17 DDR4 4266MHz DDR4 memory kits

One of the major downsides of high-speed DRAM is the fact that latencies can often increase, a factor that can sometimes counteract that raw speed boost of these kits to prevent users from utilising their memory to their fullest potential.    

An ideal memory kit offers both high speed/bandwidth and low latency operation, allowing users to utilise their high levels of memory performance faster to provide optimal memory utilisation. To create these kits G.Skill are using Samsung B-die DDR4 ICs.  

G.Skill, one of the world’s leading high-speed memory manufacturers, has now created new low latency CL17 4000+MHz memory kits, delivering both ultra-high memory speeds and extremely low memory latencies at surprisingly low operating voltages. 

The fastest of these kits is a CL17-18-18-38 4x8GB 4,233MHz kit which runs at 1.45V with the slowest kit in this new highspeed, low latency range running at 4,000MHz with CL17-17-17-37 latencies at 1.35V.

G.Skill has validated all of these new memory kits on ASUS’ ROG Maximus X Hero (Z370) motherboard using an i7 8700K CPU. Above is a screenshot that shows G.Skill’s 4,266MHz kit running on an Intel Coffee Lake setup. 

These new memory kits will be released in January 2018 through G.Skill’s distribution network.
