G.Skill releases Ryzen Optimised 3800MHz CL14 DDR4 memory modules

G.Skill is always looking to push the limits of memory performance. With AMD's Ryzen 3rd Generation processors, 3600MHz is what AMD considers as ideal, but what if you wanted to push the boar out a little further?

With Ryzen 3rd Generation processors a 1:1 ratio for DRAM to Infinity Fabric is ideal, and AMD cannot guarantee that their fabric can be pushed past 1800MHz (which doubles to 3600MHz for DDR memory). Past 3600MHz, AMD's processors automatically move to a slower 2:1 ratio to facilitate higher memory speeds, but the option remains for Ryzen 3rd Gen users to force a 1:1 ratio. This left G.Skill with room to experiment, enabling the company to create a 3800MHz DDR4 memory kit that's designed to run with Ryzen at a 1:1 Infinity Fabric to DRAM ratio.

G'Skill's new DDR4 memory kits run at 3800MHz with tight CL 14-16-16-36 timings, offering a total of 16GB of memory in a 2x8GB kit. These kits are all tested with a Ryzen 9 3900X processor and MSI's MEG X570 Godlike motherboard and is marketed under the company's Trident Z Neo memory sub-brand.

At this time it is unknown when G.Skill's 3800MHz Trident Z Neo DDR4 memory kits will become available at retailers, but at the time of writing, they are the fastest memory modules that are explicitly marketed as Ryzen optimised.
