GEIL announces their new EVO Spear series DDR4 memory
GEIL has announced their latest EVO Spear series of DDR4 memory kits, which come without modern features like LED illumination to offer what could be considered a more useful aspect, a standard DIMM-sized heat spreader. A DIMM of this small size is becoming increasingly rare these days, especially amongst high-end memory kits.
A DIMM of this small size is becoming increasingly rare these days, especially amongst high-end memory kits, allowing this memory to have no clearance issues with modern cooling solutions.
These new EVO Pro memory kits are listed as having AMD and Intel platform support, though at this time it is unknown whether or not this memory kit will fully support AMD’s upcoming Threadripper platform. These kits will feature speeds that range from 2133MHz to 3466MHz, with availability in single DIMM, dual-channel and quad-channel kits.
At this time GEIL has not revealed the pricing of these new memory kits, though they are expected to release in late July or early August.
