GeIL highlights impressive specs with their next-gen DDR5 memory range
Unlike other memory manufacturers, GeIL is upfront with its memory specifications, confirming that their overclocked DDR5 memory kits will ship with faster frequencies and lower CL latencies than JEDEC’s baseline DDR5 specifications, which starts at 4,800 MHz with CL40-40-40 timings at 1.1V.Â
In Q4 2021, GeIL will be shipping overclocked DDR5 products with 6,000 MHz, 6,400 MHz, 6,800 MHz and 7,200 MHz frequencies with CL32-36-36, CL32-36-36, CL36-44-44, and CL36-44-44 timings respectively. These DRAM modules will be available with and without RGB lighting.Â
GeIL has been working closely with both AMD, Intel, and motherboard manufacturers to launch their DDR5 memory modules with a high level of hardware compatibility, utilising the latest PMIC modules for robust power management, tight CL timings for snappy response times and a range of potential capacity options.Â
The first GeIL DDR5 modules to hit the market will be their Polaris RGB product line. These products will feature metal heatsinks, RGB lighting and strong memory performance. These DDR5 modules are designed for hardware enthusiasts and gamers, offering a lot more than JEDEC’s baseline DDR5 specifications. Â
