AMD reveals their 2024 Gamescom “Gaming Festival” event

Here are AMD’s plans for their 2024 Gamescom Gaming Festival

AMD will be hosting a “Gaming Festival” at Gamescom 2024 on August 23rd, hosting 8 hours of events that will include giveaways, partner showcases and more. Sadly, we do not expect any major announcements from AMD at Gamescom 2024. Last year, AMD revealed their Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT at this event, and launched their FSR 3 upscaling technology. This year, we do not expect any such announcements from AMD.

At 4-5PM, AMD will be hosting an “AMD Highlights” event, which could play host to some AMD hardware teases. AMD could showcase some upcoming 800-series AM5 motherboards, or reveal some new gaming partnerships. Even so, we do not expect AMD to launch new graphics cards, or any major technologies. With this in mind, Gamescom 2024 will be less exciting that last year, at least as far as AMD is concerned.
