Analogue delays its 4K FPGA-based Nintendo 64 console
Analogue has confirmed that it has delayed its Analogue 3D FPGA-powered retro console until July 2025. This system is a modern reimagining of the Nintendo 64, offering gamers full compatibility with classic games, Bluetooth controller support, and a crisp 4K output.
The Analogue 3D was revealed last year and was originally due to ship in Q1 2025. Now, the system will start shipping in July. Analogue’s website did not give a reason for the delay.
Previously, Analogue has created FPGA-powered versions of the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Gameboy. These systems are compatible with original cartridges, allowing these classic games to be played on modern hardware without emulation. This year, Analogue aims to add the Nintendo 64 to its catalogue of FPGA-powered consoles.
Analogue 3D was originally available for preorder at the end of 2024 scheduled to ship Q1 2025.
