Bambu Lab delays its high-end 3D printer series to 2025 to boost quality and add “innovative features”

Bambu Lab has announced that its upcoming flagship 3D printer has been delayed until early 2025. According to CEO Dr Tou, this new printer will sit above the company’s popular X1 series and “push the boundaries of consumer 3D printing.”

With this new release, Bambu claims that “quality is our top priority” and that this delay will allow them to “integrate several innovative features” into their new 3D printer.

The X1 is currently Bambu’s flagship 3D printer series, and its price starts at $1,199/£1,099. Next year, the company will have a new 3D printer series that sits above the X1 series. We do not know what this new 3D printer will look like, though it will likely have a larger build plate than the X1 series printers.

This delayed launch should give Bambu the time it needs to perfect its newest 3D printer. Furthermore, this delay will allow it to launch with more global stock and more spare parts available on day 1. We expect to hear more about this 3D printer design in 2025.
