Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 receives a final trailer ahead of launch

Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners 2 is coming to Netflix next week

CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger released a new trailer for Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2, likely the show’s last trailer ahead of its October 20th Netflix launch. Cyberpunk fans now have less than a week to wait for one of 2026’s most anticipated anime series.

Edgerunners 2 is not a continuation of Netflix’s first Cyberpunk Edgerunners series. The new series will be standalone and feature a new cast. Watchers will follow Roman, Talia, D, King, and more as they discover the raw, brutal nature of life on the edge in Night City. Based on the series’ trailers, cyberpsychosis will be a major theme, even more than in Edgerunners. It’s currently unclear where this series fits in the Cyberpunk 2077 timeline.

Kai Ikarashi is the director of Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners 2. He was behind episode 6 of the original series. Since that was the series’ highest-rated episode, aside from the finale, fans are excited to see what an entire Ikarashi-led series will look like. Like the first series, Studio Trigger will animate it.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 will be a 10-episode series, with all episodes arriving on October 20th. The series will follow several characters whose stories intertwine. The series tells a “raw, human story of revenge and redemption”. Fans can get a glimpse of this in today’s new trailer.
