Gamers can now order second-hand gaming items through Just Eat

CEX has become the latest provider of non-edible products to join the “Just Eat” delivery app, offering games, consoles, and accessories with ultra-fast delivery.

The idea is simple, we can all be impatient, and the promise of ultra-fast delivery is enticing. Yes, you may not be getting the best prices, and yes, CEX sells second-hand products, but if you want something delivered in less than an hour, there’s a cost for that convenience.

Whether you want an extra controller, the right cables, full consoles, or a game to play, CEX has delivery options. While their delivery options will not be the same as their in-store options, they have plenty of items listed on their Just Eat pages.

Don’t expect great prices from CEX on Just Eat

Like all on-demand delivery services, on-app pricing isn’t the same as in-store pricing. Above, my local CEX has a blue PlayStation 5 DualSense controller listed for £74.75, while the CEX web store has the same controller listed for £65. To make matters worse, Amazon has the same controller listed for £64.85, which is for a new controller. While CEX gives its products a 5-year warranty, Amazon has next-day delivery options for a new product at a lower price. This raises a question, do you really need an extra controller this quickly?

If you buy an item from CEX through Just Eat, you will have to weigh the cost of fast delivery against the convenience of ultra-fast delivery. If my controller suddenly broke, and I wanted to continue gaming, maybe Just Eat’s fast-delivery would be a good option.
