I’m in love with MSI’s new all-white PRO MAX range

Solid hardware without the “gamer” aesthetic

We visited MSI at CES 2026, and they had a lot of new tech to show us. On the high-end, MSI has its RTX 5090 Lightning Z, and while it is uber impressive, we were also very pleased with their more mainstream offerings. For me, one of the highlights of MSI’s boost was its new PRO MAX product range, offering a simple aesthetic in a world dominated by RGB and LCDs.

Consistent Design and Modern Aesthetic

Look, I love RGB and LCDs as much as the next PC enthusiast, but it can often become excessive. With its PRO MAX lineup, MSI’s mantra is Modernity, Acceleration and eXperience (MAX). MSI wants a high-end product line with a consistent design language across a range of products. That’s why PRO MAX is launching with matching products that span cooling, motherboards, cases, monitors, and even full PCs. MSI has went all-in on MAX PRO.

In MSI’s product hierarchy, PRO MAX sits above the PRO product line and alongside the MAG (MSI Arsenal Gaming) series. PRO MAX delivers a high-end feature set but doesn’t match the premium level of MSI’s MPG and MEG product lines.

PC components

MSI’s first PRO MAX motherboard is its X870E-A WIFI, an AMD AM5 motherboard with PCIe 5.0, 5G + 2.5G ethernet, WIFI 7, 40 Gbps USB4, and a large 64MB ROM. It’s ready for AMD’s current-gen and next-generation CPUs, and its silver/white design oozes elegance.

Next, we have MSI’s PRO MAX 1000L PSU, featuring 80+ Platinum efficiency, a 1000W power rating, a dual-colour 12V-2×6 connector, and an all-white aesthetic. A perfect patch for other MSI PRO MAX hardware.

For cooling, MSI has its new PRO MAX M15 360 liquid cooler, which supports both Intel and AMD mainstream CPU platforms. It includes a Digi-display for real-time monitoring, not a flashy LCD. This allows users to view useful data without going overboard with LCDs.

PRO MAX 030 PC Case

To match its other PRO MAX products, MSI has built its PRO MAX 030 PC case. It’s designed for MATX and ATX motherboards and liquid coolers up to 120mm in size. The front I/O features a USB Type-C 20Gbps, and uses a mesh design to maximise airflow. It’s a basic and effective PC case design. It’s a welcome sight for those who want something understated.

Pre-built Desktop PCs and All-in-Ones

Not everyone wants to build their own PCs, and many users would prefer to save space and have everything integrated into their monitors. For those who want a clean, minimalistic aesthetic, MSI’s PRO MAX 80 AI+ and PRO MAX 150 AI+ desktop PCs may be suitable. For those who want an all-in-one desktop experience, the PRO MAX 24 and PRO MAX 27 series may be more appropriate.

As a hardened PC enthusiast, my preference will always be to build my own PC. That said, I respect MSI’s desire to launch its PRO MAX brand with such a broad range of products on day 1. Fans of the aesthetic can kit out entire offices with PRO MAX hardware, be it for high-end workstation PCs or more basic office computers.

I’m loving the PRO MAX aesthetic. For that reason, I hope to see more hardware in the future. This is a solid lineup of white DIY PC components. Furthermore, its a welcome break from the all too common “gamer” aesthetic.
