MSI’s CEO Charles Chiang has passed away

Today, we are saddened to inform our readers of the passing of Chiang Sheng-Chang, the CEO of MSI, as a result of what appears to be a tragic accident at MSI’s office in Taipei Taiwan. 

Chiang Sheng-Chang, who was also known as Charles Chiang, died after falling from MSI’s offices, sustaining having sustained injuries which paramedics were unable to treat. Local Police are currently investigating the incident. 

At the time of his death, Chiang was 56 years old; having worked for MSI for over 20 years, acting as the company’s VP of Engineering from 1999 to 2010, General Manager of the Desktop Platform Business Division from 2010 to 2019 and CEO from January 2019 until today. During this time, MSI has expanded significantly, finding success within the desktop, laptop, monitor and accessories markets.

Before his time at MSI, Chiang graduated from Jiaotong University Institute of Electronics with a Master’s Degree in 1990, landing him a job with Acer Labs Inc as their Marketing AVP for system chipsets for nine years. From there, Chiang entered MSI, where he climbed the ranks to  

Having moved up from Engineering to the CEO’s office, Chaing was undoubtedly a talented individual, whose influence will be sorely missed at MSI. Today, MSI stands as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electronics products, and we thank Chiang for his role in that success. At this time, MSI hasn’t named an interim CEO.
