Nvidia teases “a new era of PC” ahead of Computex

Nvidia GeForce promises “A New Era of PC”

Nvidia GeForce has posted a cryptic message on Twitter/X, promising “A new era of PC” and a strange set of numbers (25.0528, 121.5990). I know what you are all thinking: “The number Mason, what do they mean?” (Old reference…) We have the answer for you, there are coordinates for the Taipei Music Center, where Nvidia plans to host GTC between June 1st and 4th.

So, what are Nvidia teasing? One simple answer could be a re-reveal of DLSS 5. Perhaps with an improved AI model that better accounts for artistic intent and doesn’t make young characters look much older. Well, we think that is wrong. Yes, Nvidia could talk about DLSS 5 at GTC, but Nvidia’s post doesn’t mention PC gaming. Nvidia’s post talks about “A new era of PC”.

Nvidia’s expected to launch its N1X chip at Computex 2026. This chip will power new ARM-based Windows laptops and contain a potent GeForce graphics chip. Old leaks for the N1X state that the chip features a CPU with 10 Cortex-X925 cores and 10 Cortex-A725 cores. It also reportedly has RTX 5070-grade (mobile) graphics.

Nvidia is planning to make a splash within the PC space, not just the gaming space. These new laptops could be useful for gaming and productivity applications. That said, it remains to be seen how these laptops will perform compared with competing devices. Will Nvidia’s CPUs be able to compete favourably with CPUs from AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm?
