Prusa just made all Core One 3D printers quieter – Here’s how
Prusa makes all of its CORE One 3D printers quieter using new optimisations
Prusa doesn’t release new 3D printers very often. Some brands seemingly release new 3D printer designs every year. In contrast, Prusa sticks to their designs and optimises their software to deliver better experiences with their current hardware. Today, we are seeing this with the Prusa Core One, which has just been made quieter thanks to some new profile updates.
As part of an investigation into VFAs (Vertical Fine Line Artefacts), Prusa discovered a resonant frequency that its CORE One 3D printers can hit. This results in frame rattling, generating unnecessary noise. By tweaking some printer speeds, these frequencies can be avoided. This change will make all Prusa Core One 3D printers quieter in some scenarios. Furthermore, this reduced shaking could result in better 3D printing results. Better still, users should see no difference in print times.
🚨 Your CORE One just got quieter 🔇- and all you have to do is relaunch @PrusaSlicer to get the new profiles! Part of our VFA investigation helped us discover a resonant frequency triggered specifically by the perimeter speed settings in the Structural profiles. This was causing…

Thanks to this update, users of the CORE One should find that their printers are “noticeably quieter.” This is great news for anyone who uses these machines regularly. To access this update, users just need to relaunch Prusa Slicer. The CORE One’s new profiles should be updated automatically. If you own a CORE One, you should update your 3D printer profiles. Your ears will thank you!
