EVGA Frostbite 2 TIM plans to make your CPUs and GPUs cooler
EVGA has just released its second generation Thermal Interface Material (TIM), a thermal grease that's designed to deliver highly efficient heat transfer between both CPUs/GPUs and their heatsinks.
On EVGA's website, each tube of this thermal paste costs $7.99 in the US (including a $5 instant rebate) and for that money, you will get a compound which supports temperatures of between -40 and 180 degrees. This makes this TIM suitable for practically any use case.
When it comes to thermal conductivity, EVGA has listed that Frostbite 2 Thermal Grease with a conductivity value of 1.6 W/m-K. Most TIM manufacturers do not publish this value, making us unable to compare this TIM to competing offerings without dedicated testing.
EVGA' Frostbite 2 Thermal Compound is currently available to order on EVGA's website.

I first thought that EVGA had partnered with DICE on a new game with the "Frostbite 2" engine, when I read the title

i don't agree. At all
Most competing offerings share that data. For example, the Artic MX-4 2019 edition has a conductive value of 8,5 W/m·K. Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut has 11,8 W / mk
So this thermal compound is really really bad. So it's really cheap.Quote

1.6W/mK? surely that's a typo? if so, wow thats bad...Quote
