Facebook is set to increase their UK workforce by more than 50%
This move will increase Facebook's UK workforce of over 2,300 people, with the UK's chancellor Philip Hammond stating that this is a "sign of confidence" in the country despite the uncertainty surrounding Brexit.
The new London office will primarily house engineers and developers as well as marketing and sales teams. The building will also house LDN_LAB, a scheme that is designed to accelerate the development of technology startups, hosting three-month programmes that will support around 20 startups in 2018. Facebook is currently looking for five-six startups to join their first programme (application here).

This news comes around six months after Google announced their plans to build a new headquarters in London, with a building that will host over 7,000 workers in an area surrounding Kings Cross Station. Back in 2016 Apple also revealed plans to create a new London Headquarters, with a building that would staff over 1,400 people.
