Million-dollar Mech Suit Now For Sale on Amazon Japan

Do you know that annoying feeling when you have 1 million dollars just lying around, collecting dust? Well, Amazon Japan has just the thing for you. About two and a half years ago, a company called Suidobashi Heavy Industry introduced the 'Kuratas', a mech robot with a smile-controller BB Gatling Gun. You read that right, this mech will shred your enemies apart with happiness. Have I tickled your fancy? Keep on reading, because this is just the beginning.

The Kuratas was unveiled at the Tokyo Wonder Festival in 2012, and I personally thought it was a joke. A good one though. Well, it seems I was wrong, obviously, as the thing is now for sale for just 120 million yen, or roughly 1 million dollars / £660k of your petty cash. Do note, the thing comes without arms (which means no BB Gun or other weapons are included), and it only moves at a speed of about 10 km/h. If this is because of technical limitations, or to keep you from going into a murderous, BB Gun fueled rampage, wasn't mentioned. Funny thing is you can control it with a smartphone, using a 3G wireless connection, though. That's right, you can ride this thing to your friends' house and scare them out of their wits, if the range were to allow it. You can also drive from inside the cockpit, obviously. It runs V-Sido OS, an operating system specifically designed for controlling humanoid robots.

So there you have it, the Japanese have done it again. You can order the Kuratas on Amazon Japan, or spec out your own mech on Suidobashi's website. Just scroll down a bit and select the 'Buy$ your custom made Kuratas NOW!!!' option. Are you going to order one? This might be something for our very own Guvnor. The banhammer is soooo 2014... Smile-controller BB Gatling Guns is where it's at now.

This is about the suit now being for sale on Amazon, whereas the Tweakers article is about the video which was, indeed, posted like 3 years ago

Didn't state this very clearly in the forum thread, will edit it to make it clearer Quote
