Reaper's Hellfire Shotgun is getting Nerfed
The first of Overwatch's weapons to get Nerfed is Reaper's iconic shotguns, with Nerf choosing to create the weapon with the same design as Reaper's in-game Wight skin. This product will be called the NERF RIVAL OVERWATCH REAPER WIGHT EDITION blaster, and it is set to release sometime in 2019.
Hasbro calls this weapon the first in a series of Overwatch themed accessories, making it likely that we will see other Nerfed Overwatch weapons in the near future. The Nerf Reaper Shotgun is pictured above, though the design is subject to change, holding eight Nerf Rival rounds that can be propelled at up to 90 feet per second using a spring-action mechanism.
The Wight Reaper Blaster is the first in the series developed in a collaboration between Blizzard Entertainment and the NERF Rival brand to bring the iconic Overwatch accessories to life. Fans of the team-based action game will enjoy custom NERF RIVAL rounds with the Overwatch logo that are specifically coloured for each blaster. The blaster will hold eight NERF RIVAL rounds, which it can propel at up to 90 feet per second. It will be equipped with a spring-action mechanism, a ready indicator, and a safety lock.
The NERF RIVAL OVERWATCH REAPER WIGHT EDITON blaster will launch in 2019.
Next week, Overwatch will have a free weekend on PC, starting on July 26th at 11 am PDT and ending on July 30th at 11.59 pm PDT. Players are required to use a free Battle.net account and use Blizzard's Battle.net launcher.
