Henry Cavill is leaving Netflix's The Witcher after Season 3's conclusion
Netflix has confirmed that The Witcher has been renewed for a fourth season, but has also revealed that Henry Cavill will be leaving the show following season 3's conclusion, with Liam Hemsworth taking on his role as Geralt of Rivia, the show's main protagonist.
At this time, it is unknown why Henry Cavill is leaving the show, with many speculating that his departure will allow him to focus more on his role as Superman within the DC cinematic universe, though others have claimed that Cavill's departure is due to the actor's creative disagreements with the The Witcher's showrunners and the show's planned direction. At this time, neither hypothesis can be confirmed.

My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4,
In my stead, the fantastic Mr Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam's take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.

As a Witcher fan I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,
Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure. Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into The Witcher world.
Season 3 of The Witcher is due to be released in Summer 2023, and at this time it is unknown what direction the season will take the series. With season 3 being unreleased, it will be a long time before Henry Cavill gets replaced by Liam Hemsworth on-screen.

Considering Cavil and the writers of the show came to blows many times due to the writers being quite outspoken about hating the books and games and Cavill being a fan of them I'm not surprised to see him leave... but Hemsworth ? He is a terrible actor and doesn't have the rugged chiseled look for Geralt.

People have been petitioning to have Mads Mikkelsen as Geralt. His voice alone could fit the part well. Also consider the aged look given Geralt has been fighting a few years now.
