ASUS’ new PRO WS 3000W power supply can power four RTX 5090 GPUs
ASUS’ Pro Workstation 3000W PSU is powerful enough to fuel four RTX 5090 graphics cards
ASUS has unveiled its new Pro Workstation (PRO WS) Platinum series power supplies, which are ready to fuel the next generation of AI workstations. These PRO WS units from ASUS will feature power capacities of up to 3000W. That’s more than enough to power four RTX 5090 (or Blackwell RTX PRO 6000) graphics cards.
ASUS’ Pro WS Platinum series will have 1600W, 2200W, and 3000W models, allowing the series to scale between high-end workstations and crazy-high-end workstations. The 1600W model will feature two 12V-2×6 power connectors, while the 2200W and 3000W models will feature four.
This new series of power supplies is PCIe 5.1 and ATX 3.1 certified. It also features an 80+ Platinum certification and ships with a 10-year warranty. ASUS states that this PSU delivers “exceptional voltage stability”, making it suitable for use with systems with up to four graphics cards.
Sadly, ASUS has not given us a release date or pricing for these new workstation-grade power supplies. That said, we should expect these new PSUs to become available soon.
