be quiet! launches their Dark Power 13 series of ATX 3.0 power supplies

Meet Be Quiet’s Dark Power 13, the company’s first series of ATX 3.0 power supplies

If you are in the market for a new power supply, you should be looking for a power supply that supports the latest power standards. ATX 3.0 is here, and many new graphics cards have adopted the 16-pin 12VHPWR (12 Volt High Power) standard, which means that you should be looking for a PSU that supports both standards if you want to utilise your next PSU long-term.

With their new Dark Power 13 series of PSUs, be quiet has added ATX 3.0 support, and direct 12VHPWR support to their premier power supply series, observing all of the power specifications that are defined by the PCIe 5.0 power standards. With a 12VHPWR connection and four traditional 6+2-pin PCIe power connectors, Be Quiet’s Dark Power 13 series is ready to power graphics cards with new and traditional connector types.

Be Quiet’s Dark Power 13 series will be available in 1000W, 850W, and 750W forms, with all models supporting up to 600 watts of power delivery though their 12VHPWR connector. All three models are 80+ Titanium certified, and are cooled by 135mm Silent Wings fans. With power efficiency levels of up to 95.8%, be quiet’s Dark Power 13 series is designed to run cool and quiet, even under heavy loads.

One of the key features of the Dark power 13 is its support for unique features such as be quiet’s “Overclocking Key”, which allows users to change their PSU from a multi-rail PSU to a single-rail mode at the flick of a switch. This change can increase the stability of Be Quiet’s PSU under extreme overclocking workloads, which may allow users to push a little more performance out of their components.

be quiet’s Dark Power 13 power supplies will be available starting on January 24th £289.99, £249.99, and £209.99 for the PSU’s 1000W, 850W and 750W models respectively.
