Corsair launches its CX-F RGB series of affordable gaming power supplies

Corsair has just launched its new CX-F RGB series of power supplies, targeting the gaming market with new models which provide users with the visual appeal of RGB lighting, fully modular cables and both black and white colour options.

These new units will be available in 550W, 650W and 750W variants, covering all areas of the entry-level PC market. To cool this new model, Corsair’s CX-F RGB power supplies use a 120mm RGB fan which features 8 LED elements which can all be configured with different colours. This RGB LED can be controlled using a button on the unit itself, though Corsair’s iCUE software or through your motherboard’s 5V ARGB ports.

Both the black and white versions of this unit feature matching modular cables, giving both units a premium look. While these cables are not individually sleeved, these cables do look a lot better than the ketchup and mustard colour schemes on low-cost PSUs.

Corsair’s backing these new CX-F RGB series power supplies with a five-year warranty, with each model in the series offering customers a full 80 Bronze certification.

On Corsair’s UK website, the company’s 750W CX-F RGB power supply is available for £89.99. Pricing remains consistent across the CX-F series’ white and black coloured units.
