MSI launch their flagship MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 and MPG A1250GS PCIE5 power supplies at CES 2025

MSI launch two flagship-level power supplies at CES 2025

MSI has just revealed two new flagship power supplies, both of which feature dual 12V-2×6 power connectors. These new PSUs are the MSI MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 and the MSI MPG A1250GS PCIE5, both PCIe 5.1 and ATX 3.1 certified and have a Level-A Cybenetics noise rating.

For the MEG Ai1600T PCIE5, MSI has promised users incredible levels of efficiency, with the PSU having an 80+ Titanium efficiency rating. Furthermore, MSI claims that this is the world’s first PSU to use server-grade Infineon SiC MOSFETs, enhancing the efficiency and thermals of this all-digital power supply.

MSI Ai1600T PCIe5 Specifications

Like all modern MSI power supplies, this unit features MSI’s dual-colour 12V-2×6 power cables. This helps to ensure that PC builders fully insert their 16-pin GPU power connectors by making their power pins extra visible. Both 12V-2×6 cables on this PSU are native 12V-2×6 cables.

MSI has optimised this PSU to deliver noise levels of under 20 dBA. This makes this PSU virtually silent under all load conditions, which is great news for anyone who enjoys a quiet office.

This new PSU measures 190mm x 150mm x 86mm, making it relatively small for a power supply of this wattage capacity. Regardless, standard ATX PSUs are 140mm x 150mm x 86mm. That means this PSU may not be compatible with all ATX PC cases.

MSI MPG A1250GS PCIE5

MSI’s MPG A1250GS PCIe5 is an 80+ Gold-rated power supply. MSI states that the S in this PSU’s model name stands for “silent,” as this new model’s main focuses are reduced operating temperatures and reduced noise levels. Again, this should come as good news for anyone who wants a quiet but performant PC build.

This PSU also features MSI’s dual-colour 12V-2×6 power cables. Both 12V-2×6 power cables are also native cables. That means that they use the 12V-2×6 power connector at both ends.

This PSU model from MSI is a semi-digital PSU. It uses an IC to control PFC and LLC to increase its accuracy. This enabled more stable power output than standard non-digital PSUs. MSI also says that this PSU delivers noise levels of below 20 dBA, making it virtually silent.
