Seasonic launches their VERTEX SAKURA Special Edition 1000W PSU in Japan

Seasonic has launched a limited edition Vertex Sakura 1000W power supply in Japan with a white/pink colour scheme

A new Special Edition power supply has landed in Japan, offering PC builders a unique white/pink colour scheme with braided cables and a cherry blossom illustrations on its exterior. Meet the Seasonic Vertex Sakura Edition 1000W power supply.

This new power supply is a limited edition version of Seasonic’s Vertex GX 1000W power supply. This is an 80+ Gold verified power supply that features ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 certifications. The power supply features fully modular cables and features a 12VHPWR connector.

Seasonic’s Sakura Edition version of this PSU reportedly has a price tag of around 30,000 yen (around £160). This power supply ships with a 12 year warranty and is expected to be a Japan exclusive model.

Given the limited appeal of this PSU’s design, Seasonic only plan to produce a limited run of these new power supply units. It is unknown exactly how many Seasonic will produce at this time.

With its white exterior and Sakura themed elements, this PSU’s likely to sell well in Japan. This PSU’s well suited to many themed PC builds. That said the prevalence of PSU shrouds in modern PC cases will limit this PSU’s appeal.
