If you want to build an ultra-compact PC, standard ATX and SFX power supplies will often be too large for your needs. If you need something smaller, Pico power supplies may be your only option.

Fanless Tech has spotted that Silverstone has launched a new Pico power supply kit called the AD120-DC, which offers users a 120W DC-DC power board with a120W AC-DC power converter. With this combo, custom PC builders can create ultra-compact NUC-style PCs, with the AD120-DC’s internal board measuring in at 160 x 25 x 45mm.

Using this power supply, users deliver up to 120 watts of power to connected systems, with the device offering users a 24-pin ATX connection, an 8-pin (4+4-pin) EPS cable, a Molex connector and three SATA cables.

Unfortunately, this Pico PSU has no listed pricing on SilverStone’s website, though it should release with a relatively low price given its low wattage characteristics.

With this unit, Silverstone will ship a Mylar insulation board, and a 4-pin floppy/ground cable top connect the bundle’s power brick and DC board. Silverstone are also backing this unit up with a 1-year warranty.
