The Noctua Edition Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 PSU has landed, and it is a BEAST

Need more Noctua in your life? This PSU may be for you

It’s finally here: Noctua’s long-awaited Seasonic PSU collaboration has launched. Meet the Noctua Edition PRIME TX-1600, a 1600W power supply that boasts ultra-quiet operation.

We first saw this new PSU at Computex 2024. There, Seasonic boasted that this new 1600W power supply was 8-10 dB(A) quieter than their standard TX-1600 models. This is due to this PSU’s use of Noctua’s NF-A12x25 fan and a “custom-designed, highly optimised fan grill.” Under standard operating conditions, this PSU runs passively at up to 50% loads, and thanks to Noctua’s tech, it is much quieter under higher loads.

The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition is both ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compatible and boasts two 12V-2×6 power connectors. This makes this PSU ready for next-generation GPU setups. The unit is 80+ Titanium rated and is Cybenetics ETA Titanium certified. This gives this PSU up to 94% efficiency under 50% loads.

To match the unit’s Noctua styling, this power supply ships with “Noctua-themed cabling” to tie this special edition PSU in with other Noctua components. Remember, this is not Noctua’s first “Noctua Edition” product. ASUS has created two generations of Noctua Edition GPUs, including an RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua Edition.
