Thermaltake reveals its 1550W Toughpower TF1 Titanium power supply

Thermaltake has a new power supply that’s purpose-built for overclocking; an 80 Titanium rated 1550W Toughpower TF1 Titanium unit which is ready for seemingly any system.

Given the power efficiency of today’s PC components, Thermaltake’s 1550W Toughpower TF1 has three main audiences, overclocking enthusiasts, cryptocurrency miners and crazy-high-end system builders. If your system is using three or more graphics cards and overclocked HEDT processors, this unit should be enough to meet your power requirements, eliminating the need to create a multi-PSU system.

Like other Toughpower TF1 units, Thermaltake’s Toughpower TF1 a semi-passive cooling fan, guaranteed voltage ripple of 30mV or less and transient response rating of less than 1% at 12V and less than 5% at 3.3V. These units will also be fitted with 100% Japanese capacitors, and ship with a 10-year warranty, which means that Thermaltake is sure that this PSU will outlast almost any other component on your system.

With an 80 Titanium efficiency rating, Thermaltake’s TF1 1550W power supplies are designed to deliver 90% efficiency levels at all times, which is great news for high-end system users. This will lower the amount of power that connected systems will consumer when compared to lower-rated units, and will reduce the PSU’s heat output, keeping the Toughpower TF1 cool and quiet under load.

At this time, we are unsure when Thermaltake’s TF1 1550W Titanium will be released onto the consumer market, or how much the unit will cost.
