Thermaltake went PSU crazy at CES 2026
Thermaltake goes HUGE with its PSUs at CES 2026 – 3000W, smart software, and unique features
At CES 2026, Thermaltake has taken its PSU lineup and pushed it in several bold directions. Honestly, it’s hard to even know where to start; that’s how broadly Thermaltake has cast its net in 2026.
We have high-wattage models. There are new smart i-series PSUs with unique software features. Then there are Thermaltake’s high-wattage SFX designs. Lastly, there are Thermaltake’s unusual “Golden Track” PSUs, which will be discussed in more detail later.

Thermaltake AX 3000W
Let’s start with the big cheese, the AX 3000W. Yes, Thermaltake has built a 3000W power supply. This PSU is for users building an exceptionally power-hungry system. High-end workstations with multiple high-end graphics cards for AI, complex simulations, rendering, or anything else that requires insane levels of computational power.
Note that this PSU has four 12V-2×6 power connectors. This PSU supports four 600W 12V-2×6-powered graphics cards. With a 3000W power capacity, it can handle four 600W GPUs and have 600W of power to spare.
Thermaltake ToughPower i-series PSUs
Next, we have the Toughpower i1650W and Toughpower i2000W. The Touchpower i1650W is due to be released in Q1 2026 for $599.99. Both the 1650W and 2000W models feature four 12V-2×6 power connectors, but neither PSU can use all of them at their full power rating simultaneously. That said, not all multi-GPU workstation users use 600W graphics card.
What sets the i-series apart is its USB port. This PSU is compatible with Thermaltake’s new PSU monitoring software. This will allow users to monitor their PSU.
Using Thermaltake’s software, they can view their power consumption, PSU temperatures, fan speeds, efficiency, and more. This is great for anyone who wants to know how much power their PC is using. It could also be a useful tool to testing how much your undervolt has impacted your power bill!
Golden Track? Thermaltake takes PSUs in a bold new direction
Next, we have Thermaltake’s patented “golden track” PSU designs. Current models range from 750W to 1200W and have 80+ Gold certifications. The unique aspect of these PSU designs is their “Golden Track”. This allows users to change their modular connector plates. This allows users to easily replace their PSUs or upgrade to new modular plate designs. New plates could feature RGB control, USB connectivity, or add other new features. Users can also replace their plates if they become damaged. This prevents an entire PSU from becoming e-waste if a single connector is damaged.
This is an interesting idea, though it remains to be seen how far Thermaltake will take this concept. It is a good idea, but will PC builders buy into it?
Toughpower SFX 1000W/1200W
Next, we have Thermaltake’s ToughPower SFX lineup. At CES 2026, Thermaltake unveiled new 80+ Titanium 1000W and 1200W models. These models have a high efficiency rating, which should mean that these PSUs will run cool and quiet under load, a nice feature for compact systems.
Fast and easy PSU testing
Finally, we have the Dr Power III Pro. This PSU testing unit automatically tests power supplies and diagnoses faults. It supports all ATX PSUs, including the current ATX 3.1 standard. It can monitor voltage outputs in real time and alert users if their PSU is not delivering the correct voltages.
With this new model, Thermaltake has given its tool a new colour screen to deliver clearer information and data visualisations. This should make the tool easier to use. This is a very useful tool if you need to test an old power supply or diagnose system faults. Old PSUs can develop faults and deliver unstable or incorrect voltages, and tools like this can help you uncover these kinds of issues.
