12 minutes of Battlefield 1 Single Player Gameplay

Let's have a look at some newly released Battlefield 1 Single Player gameplay, from the prologue mission "Storm of Steel". This gameplay was recorded at an EA event at TwitchCon as was recorded at 1080p 60FPS.

In this section of the game, players will play as in a bloody battle in World War 1, which features trench gameplay as well as tank sections and plenty of close quarters combat. In this mission players are not expected to survive for long, moving to a new soldier every time the player dies as they push forward across the fields of war.

Battlefield 1 will release on October 21st on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

I will be brutally honest here.

That opening scene is epic, being able to provoke that much thought about how brutal that war really was is commendable. Big win for Dice right there in my book!Quote

Definitely. I tried the Beta and it only confirmed that multi-player really isn't my thing anymore and so the game slid right off my radar. Now It's certainly back on it, although I will be waiting to get it cheap as I refuse to pay full price for a game I'll only play half of.Quote

Gotta agree with you there. This trailer actually got me excited for the game.Quote

it's an interesting approach to the campaign.. if you die you're just another name in the dirt and you respawn as someone else.. definitely reminiscent of the way they did the BF2 Modern Combat on consoles. It works amazingly well in this setting though, immediately bins off the "super soldier" feel you get from COD campaigns and stuff.

The more I see of this game, the more I like it, which is annoying. I still refuse to pre-order it. lolQuote
