30 minutes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla leaks online

On July 12th, Ubisoft will be hosting its Ubisoft Forward online showcase, where the company plans to showcase their upcoming game releases like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Hyper Scape.

If you can’t wait until then, you may be glad to know that gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has leaked online, showing gamers around 30 minutes of gameplay footage. Gameplay-wise, Valhalla looks a lot like Odyssey, though much of the game appears to have a The Witcher 3 twist to it.

While the original YouTube video of this gameplay has been taken down, gamers have already archived this footage elsewhere. For now, this gameplay is available on Streamable, though this footage is likely to be taken down in time. Head over to Reddit to see the latest re-uploads of this leaked gameplay footage.

Note that all of this footage is marked as “work in progress”, which means that this footage is not representative of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s release-ready build.

Given this game’s Northern Europe locations, it is understandable that Valhalla has a very The Witcher 3 look and feel. Combat-wise, this game appears to be very similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, complete with a Viking version of the Spartan kick and the ability to stomp on fallen foes. Like the game’s early trailers, players can also hurl weapons at enemies from a distance, adding more ranged options to the franchise.

Right now, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is due to release on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and next-generation consoles in Holiday 2020.
