343 warns Halo fans of Infinite spoilers after "unintentionally" leaving campaign files in their preview build

Halo fans beware, as campaign spoilers for Halo Infinite are starting to circulate online, as 343 has "unintentionally" included campaign files within the game's technical preview build.

Data miners, being data miners, have managed to extract these files from Halo Infinite's preview build, giving gamers a look at Halo Infinite's story. Given the popularity of Halo modding on PC, 343 should have seen this coming, making this leak entirely their fault.

In a statement on Twitter, Halo Infinite's Head of Creative, Joseph Staten, has called on Halo fans to avoid spoilers and not to spread any Halo Infinite spoilers online.

Brian Jarrard, 343's community director, has warned that those who post data mined Halo Infinite content will risk a takedown notice, revealing that Microsoft is serious about preventing Halo spoilers from spreading online.

Jarrard's statement has left many fans disappointed and concerned. While the desire to avoid spoilers from spreading is understandable, many fans are annoyed that 343 intends to push back against those who spread Halo spoilers with takedown notices. Jarrard has recommended that those who have posted content online about Halo Infinite spoilers should remove their content proactively.
