PC gamers can currently grab a free copy of A Plague Tale Innocence on the Epic Games Store.

Epic Games’ Holiday “Mystery Game” promotion has entered its penultimate day. Today, A Plague Tale Innocence is the Epic Games Store is available for free on the Epic Games Store. This third-person action game will be available for free for the next 24 hours, after which a new game will be given away on the storefront.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a third-person survival game from 2019 that generated hugely positive reviews from critics and gamers alike. The game received a sequel last year called A Plague Tale: Requiem, which is currently available with a 55% discount on the Epic Games Store. This is not the first time Innocence has been available for free on the Epic Games Store. That means that many PC gamers will already own this title.

Being from Asobo Studio, the developer behind Microsoft Flight Simulator, Innocence’s visuals are stellar, especially on PC. At the Steam awards in 2019, the game received an award for “Outstanding Story-Driven Game”.

A Plague Tale Innocence will be available for free until 4PM GMT on January 1st. After this, a new game will be available for free on the Epic Games Store.

Tomorrow, Epic Games plans to make a new “Mystery Game” available for free on their storefront. At this time we can only guess at what this game will be. After this free game, Epic Games will return to their weekly cadence of promotional free games.
