AMD brings FSR 4 support to 7 new games

AMD expands FSR 4 game support with its 25.5.1 driver

AMD has just added FSR 4 support to seven new games, all thanks to their new 25.5.1 driver. This allows RDNA 4 GPU users to enjoy AMD’s AI upscaler in more titles, giving them more pleasing visuals than AMD’s older FSR 3 upscaling solution.

With AMD Software 25.5.1, FSR 4 has been added to the following games;

  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Frostpunk 2
  • Everspace 2
  • Fort Solis
  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
  • The Finals
  • Influx Redux

FSR 4 delivers great upscaling results, but it lags behind DLSS when it comes to game support. Thankfully, AMD’s recent driver updates have added FSR 4 support to more games. Regardless, FSR 4 is supported in far fewer games than Nvidia’s AI upscaler. As such, AMD still has a lot of catching up to do.

Rumour has it that AMD plans to make some FSR 4 announcements at Computex 2025. This will likely reveal new FSR 4 partners and possibly discuss direct FSR 4 game integrations.

In March, Sony confirmed that it plans to create a “reimplementation” of FSR 4 for PlayStation 5 Pro, aiming to deliver similar upscaling results with its custom PS5 Pro AI hardware.
