AMD launches Amuse 2.0 generative AI tools for Ryzen/Radeon users
AMD released their new Amuse 2.0 generative AI toolset for users of AMD’s latest CPUs and GPUs
AMD alongside TensorStack have released a set of new AI tools that users of Ryzen and Radeon hardware to make use of generative AI at home. Meet AMD Amuse 2.0, a new beta software set from AMD that features AI image generation. This includes text to image generation and drawing to image generation.
Amuse 2.0 is supported by AMD’s latest CPUs and GPUs. This includes AMD’s new Ryzen AI 300 (Strix Point) laptop CPUs, their Ryzen 8040 (Hawk Point) CPUs, and Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. This software toolset is designed specifically for AMD’s latest hardware, making it incompatible with older CPUs and GPUs. Currently, it’s unclear why Ryzen 7040 (Hawk Point) CPUs and Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs are unsupported.
One benefit of this software set its one-click nature. This software set has no external dependencies, and requires no command lines to install it. Just download the app and install it on your system. It’s that simple.
AMD’s Amuse 2.0 app can generate 512×512 images locally and then use AMD’s XDNA Super Resolution feature to give users crisp 1024×1024 images. AI filters are also available to change the look of generated images. Unfortunately, XDNA Super Resolution is currently unavailable on systems without an XDNA AI accelerator.
AMD Amuse 2.0 Key features:
- No command line needed
- Simple and easy to use
- AMD XDNA Super Resolution
- Single executable
- No dependencies
- Auto configuration and model selection
- Paint to Image
- Drawing to Image
- Create your own AI filters
- Multi-stage, ONNX based pipeline (Stable Diffusion, Control Nets, Feature Extractors)
Amuse 2.0 is available to download now from AMD’s website. Expect AMD to update and improve this application over time. After all, it is currently a “beta” app.
