AMD’s FSR 3 tech is coming to The Last of Us Part 1
The Last of Us Part 1 is getting an FSR 3 upgrade on PC
AMD has announced that their FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) upscaler will soon be available in The Last of Us Part 1. Right now, the game’s PC version supports both DLSS 2 and FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2. With a future update, the game should soon support AMD’s latest super resolution technology and Frame Generation. At this time it is unknown if a DLSS 3 Frame Generation update for The Last of Us Part 1 is also planned.
AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 technology is an updated version of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 upscaler that also supports Frame Generation. This means that FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 users can achieve high quality upscaling results, and use AMD’s Frame Generation technology to dramatically increase the framerate of supported games using interpolated frames.
