Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation’s 3.0 update overhauls the game and its benchmark

Stardock has just released patch 3.0 for Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation, overhauling the game’s balance while improving its performance, visuals and benchmarking tools.

With update 3.0, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation has been updated with the latest hardware in mind, now offering support for up to 32 logical cores, a new benchmark that makes more use of the game’s advanced physics system, and corrected scripting to ensure that the benchmark stresses hardware as intended.

Benchmarkers, note that Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation now has a new benchmark, making new benchmark scores from the game incomparable to legacy benchmark results. Stardock has also decoupled the game’s benchmark from the main game to ensure that scores will remain consistent moving forward. Ashes of the Singularity’s CPU and GPU benchmarks have been updated.

Update 3.0 for Ashes of the Singularity Escalation will feature rebalanced units for multiplayer, and a rebalanced campaign to account for these changes. Several back-end improvements to the game should also allow Ashes of the Singularity to run smoother than before on most systems, despite the game’s improved visual effects.

To celebrate the launch of patch 3.0 for Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation, Stardock will be offering gamers a 55% discount for the game on Steam, making the game £10.70.
