Assassin's Creed: Origins receives free Discovery Tour Mode

Video Game Tourism isn't new to the Assassin's Creed series, with the franchise often creating stunningly detailed depictions of a time that has long past and peoples that are long forgotten.

While most players of Assassin's Creed: Origins are hunting wildlife, slaughtering their foes and completing the game's lengthy campaign, others are there to explore the world, take in the virtual sights and see ancient Egypt in a way that is impossible on the modern era.

Expansion on the game's free roam mode, Assassin's Creed Origins has now received a patch that offers a selection of free guided tours of Ancient Egypt (75 in total), tours which vary from five to twenty-five minutes to complete which "focus on discovery and learning" instead of Assassins or their Creed.

Patch 1.3.0 will release today with a large number of bug fixes alongside this new gameplay mode, weighing in at 2.6GB. Assassin's Creed's Discovery Tours are free for owners of Assassin's Creed Origins, though they are also available as a standalone package for £15.99 on Uplay and Steam.

Each tour will detail different aspects of Ancient Egypt, including insights into the architecture, people and culture. Players will also be able to see how Greek and Roman Culture have influenced Egypt in this period of history as well as other historical context for the title.

Embedded video says it's not available in my country. Not that it's a big deal but may deter some folks.

Would be cool if we got like a photo mode and could free roam with the cameraQuote
