Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming to Steam this month
Ubisoft’s newest Assassin’s Creed game is coming to Steam this month
Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming to Steam this month. All Assassin’s Creed games will be available on PC through Steam following this release. Until now, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has only been available on PC through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store.
This announcement comes shortly after Ubisoft delayed Assassin’s Creed Shadows and confirmed that the game will be available on Steam on day 1. Ubisoft is officially returning to Steam, and more of the publisher’s future games will probably be available there on day 1.
Ubisoft has released its PC games exclusively through Ubisoft Connect (Formerly UPlay) and the Epic Games Store for many years. These storefronts offer Ubisoft higher margins on its PC game sales. Since Steam is the most popular PC gaming storefront, Ubisoft now sees avoiding Steam as a liability. This is why Ubisoft has slowly been bringing its games to Steam, and why Assassin’s Creed Shadows is releasing there on day-1.
Sadly, Ubisoft has not confirmed when Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be coming to Steam. The game will be releasing this month, though its exact release date is a mystery.
