Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s free Valley of Memory DLC launches next month

Ubisoft has officially showcased its free Valley of Memory DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This free DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will become available on all platforms on November 18th. The DLC features six hours of additional gameplay and story, set before the conclusion of the game’s main storyline.

In Valley of Memory, Basim travels to AlUla to find his long-lost father after finding out that he is alive. Once there, he discovers that the valley of AlUla is threatened by a band of thieves, who are part of the DLC’s main quest.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is celebrating its second anniversary with the announcement of Valley of Memory, a free story expansion for Assassin’s Creed Mirage launching November 18.

What is Assassin’s Creed Mirage Valley of Memory?

Valley of Memory is a free major update for anyone who owns Assassin’s Creed Mirage, offering up to six hours of additional gameplay and story. Taking place before the main adventure’s finale, Valley of Memory kicks off when Basim learns that his long-lost father might still be alive in AlUla. Basim decides to go on a journey to see if the rumors hold any truth, only to discover that the valley of AlUla is threatened by a dangerous band of robbers and his father is missing.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s free DLC will feature updates to the main game. This includes the addition of replayable missions and challenge missions. Furthermore, parkour has been improved with the addition of a manual jump. This, along with other updates, enables more creative parkour and sequences that were previously impossible.

Mirage now has new skills and tool customisation options. The game has also received two new difficulty levels, allowing series veterans to make the game more challenging. Ubisoft has also promised other improvements for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will be unveiled in the DLC’s patch notes. Hopefully, PC gamers will get access to updated upscaler support, adding DLSS 4, FSR 4, and XeSS 2 to the game.

What Does Valley of Memory Add to Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Taking place in an entirely new region and map, Valley of Memory adds a host of new content including a new main quest and new assassination targets, as well as side quests, contracts, and more. Basim can even play the oud now at certain locations once you successfully track down music sheets through parkour challenges. Valley of Memory also features a unique twist on Assassin’s Creed’s classic black box missions, but that you’ll have to discover for yourself.

Valley of memory takes place in 9th-century AlUla, an ancient valley charged with history and home to stunning and diverse landscapes.  You will have the chance to explore a variety of points of interest in the region, from the old town of AlUla and the Musa Ibn Musayr fortress to the Valley of the Stones and the impressive necropolis of Hegra. Be careful as you explore the sites, as the Robbers have set up ambushes across the desert to catch unwelcome visitors.

What Changes Are Coming to Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Valley of Memory is also introducing improvements to the game that will apply whether you are playing in the AlUla region, or the main adventure in Baghdad.

  • Replayable Missions and Challenges – All black box missions and contracts in Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Valley of Memory will be replayable after you complete them once. Accessible through the “Animus Sequences” section of your objective board or directly within the world, each replayable mission will offer distinct challenges, forcing you to play in new and creative ways. You may have to avoid using Eagle Vision, kill only your main target, remain undetected, or complete the mission in a certain amount of time. Completing these challenges will unlock exclusive in-game rewards.
  • Parkour Updates – New features in the gameplay will strengthen your parkour experience in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Players will now be able to toggle on the ability to manually jump, allowing them to weave together free-running parkour sequences that were previously impossible. A new control scheme is also being introduced to smoothen the experience of leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Players will also be able to customize side and back ejects. Previously side and back ejects could only be performed when Basim had a clear landing spot or handhold. Now, Basim can side or back eject regardless of the landing spot. These new updates allow for more creative parkouring than ever before in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
  • New Skill and Tool Customization – A new skill called Engineer 2 has been added to Basim’s skill tree that will allow him to equip all level 1 modifications to his tools and a new level 3 modification has been added to all Tools as well.
  • New Difficulty Levels – Two additional difficulty levels have been added, allowing you to customize the challenge to your liking.
  • And much more to discover in the update’s patch notes.
