AVerMedia teases what could be a capture card with two inputs
Why would you want a capture card with more than one input? The answer’s surprisingly simple. Many AVerMedia users require more than one HDMI input, creating the need for systems with multiple PCIe capture cards. This causes a lot of PCIe lane wastage on complex streaming systems and requires many streamers to create large form factor PCs for gameplay capture. With a dual-input capture device, AVerMedia can effectively sell two capture cards in one, reducing PCIe lane contention while simplifying the setups of future streaming PC builds.Â
Sadly, AVerMedia has not revealed much about their next capture card, aside from the fact that it’s coming “Soon”. The tweet below contains a video of the capture card, confirming that it is an internal PCIe device and that it is is a full-height PCIe device.Â
