Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to Early Access in August, Maybe

During today’s Guerrilla Collective livestream, Larain Studios announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released in Early Access this August, assuming that COVID-19 related issues don’t delay the game’s release.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s early access release will be coming to both Stadia and Steam, allowing gamers to be able to play the D&D-based RPG on seemingly any device.

Larain Studios’ CEO, Swen Vinke, has noted that COVID-19 might delay their plans to release Baldur’s Gate 3’s early access launch due to the studio’s inability to get performance capture for the game’s characters quickly. The studio is also working on graphical improvements for the game, tweaks to the game’s combat system and several other tweaks to the game.
