Total War Warhammer III's Immortal Empires map is insane, and this trailer doesn't even show half of it
Creative Assembly has just given gamers their first look at Total War Warhammer III's huge Immortal Empires campaign map, what should be the pinnacle achievement of the company's Total War Warhammer trilogy. With a map that merges the playable areas of all three Total War Warhammer games, PC gamers can now play though campaigns that have a global scale that covers the entirety of Warhammer Fantasy's world.
In their First Look trailer below, Creative Assembly showcases all major playable areas of the Total War Warhammer III map. At launch, Immortal Empires will have 86 playable Legendary Lords, 23 races, 533 regions, and 278 starting factions. This is Creative Assembly's largest Total War campaign to date, and it will only get larger as the game is updated. We are certain that Creative Assembly will eventually do something with the lands of Ind and Khuresh.
While the trailer below showcases most of the starting locations of Total War Warhammer's major factions, Creative Assembly has confirmed that the camera pathing used in the trailer below doesn't even cover half of their colossal Immortal Empires map.
When will Immortal Empires release?
Total War Warhammer III's Immortal Empires mode will become available as part of Total War Warhammer III's 2.0 update on August 23rd. At launch, Total War Warhammer III's Immortal Empires mode will be available in beta. This beta will feature the mode's full map and all playable Legendary Lords. However, Total War Warhammer III's Immortal Empires mode will be continually updated with new balance tweaks, faction updates, and other new content updates as Total War Warhammer III's development continues. It will likely be years before Total War Warhammer III's Immortal Empires mode is in its "finalised" state.
