Later this month Beyond Good and Evil will be available for free on PC via UPlay as part of Ubisoft's Ubi 30 promotion.
 
Beyond Good and Evil will replace The Crew as Ubisoft's free Ubi 30 game on October 12th, making this the final week that The Crew will be available for free on UPlay.

Below are the PC system requirements for Beyond Good and Evil on PC, though it is pretty safe to say that any modern system should be able to run this game easily.  

 

  • OS: Windows 2000/XP (only)
  • Processor: 700 MHz Pentium III, Celeron, or AMD Athlon (1 GHz recommended)
  • Memory: 64 MB minimum, 128 MB recommended (256 MB recommended for XP)
  • Graphics:DirectX 9-compatible 32 MB video card (specific cards supported: ATI Radeon™ 9700 and Pro, ATI Radeon 9000 and Pro, GeForce 4 Ti 4600/Ti 4400/MX 460/MX 440, GeForce3 and Ti 500, GeForce2 GTS/MX400/MX)
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0
  • Sound: DirectX 9-compatible sound card
  • Hard Drive: 2.2 GB

Some games need features that are not present vista and later, not sure why though.Quote
