For the next week, Bioshock: The Collection will be available for free on the Epic Games Store
The Epic Games Store is currently in the middle of its 2022 "Epic Mega Sale", and every week Epic Games plans to give away free games to entice more PC gamers to jump onto their Steam competitor.
This week, Epic Games has worked with 2K to offer PC gamers Bioshock: The Collection for free on their storefront, offering PC gamers free access to Bioshock Remastered: Bioshock 2 Remastered, and Bioshock Infinite. On top of that, all DLC for the three games will also be available for free as part of this collection.
Even today, the Bioshock series stands tall as an excellent collection of content. While all three games are older by today's standards, they are all games that are built on excellent gameplay, art direction, and world building, allowing the three games to age a lot better than other shooters from that era.
Aside from being a free collection of excellent atmospheric shooters, all three games from the Bioshock Collection all run incredibly well on modern PC hardware. Even modest gaming PCs can play all three games at 60 FPS with ease, even at high resolutions. This is great news for gamers with 4K screens, even those who have access to high refresh rate models. Today's hardware will give gamers buttery smooth framerates in these classic titles, making now a great time to explore the Bioshock universe.
Next week, the Epic Games Store will be making another mystery game available for free on their PC gaming storefront. This new free game will become available on June 2nd at 4 PM BST, which is also when the Bioshock Collection will not longer be available for free on the Epic Games Store.
PC gamers can redeem a free copy of Bioshock: The Collection on the Epic Games Store.
