On his Twitter profile, the developer confirmed that Javelin/Mechsuit customisation would be a lot more in-depth than Bioware’s E3 demo suggested, allowing for dramatic visual changes. All players will also start with a Ranger Javelin-class, unlocking more Javelin types like the Storm, Interceptor and Colossus through story progression. Each Javelin can be customised in safe havens like Fort Tarsis, where players can also walk around freely outside of their mech.Â
Darrah also confirmed that Bioware is looking into options where enemy damage indicators could be made smaller or semi-transparent to reduce their intrusiveness.Â
During his Twitter Q&A session, it was also confirmed that the E3 show floor demo was running on the PC version of the game, which was being played on dual GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards to offer 4K 60FPS gameplay, explaining how the game was able to showcase some of E3’s most impressive graphics. The game makes use of DICE’s Frostbite 3 Engine, which was also used for Star Wars Battlefront II and Battlefield 1.Â
Bioware will continue to optimise Anthem up until the game’s official release on February 22nd 2019, though at this time it is unknown how much easier the game will be to run at launch.Â
