Black Myth Wukong is now the most played game on Steam

Black Myth Wukong now has more players than Counter Strike 2

Black Myth: Wukong is now available on PC, and it has taken Steam by storm. At the time of writing, Black Myth: Wukong has over 1.8 million concurrent players on Steam, making it the most played game on the platform. This has made the game the 3rd most played game in Steam history, with PUBG Battlegrounds, and Palworld being the only games to achieve higher player counts.

AMD, Nvidia, and Intel have all released optimised GPU drivers for this game. The game has also been released on PlayStation 5, though an Xbox Series X/S version is also planned. On PC, the game is also available on the Epic Games Store, though the bulk of this game’s players will be on Steam.

Black Myth: Wukong is a 3rd person action RPG that’s based on the classical Chinese novel “Journey to the West”. So far, the game has generated positive reviews, with many praising the game’s cutting-edge visuals.

As today progresses, we expect Wukong’s player count to rise further, likely passing two million players within the next few hours. We also expect this game to surpass Palworld and become Steam’s second most played game. Though this remains to be seen.
