Boosted Football Manager 26 visuals raise the game’s PC requirements significantly

Football Manager 26 is receiving some major visual upgrades, although the game’s hardware requirements remain relatively low

Sports Interactive have given gamers a “First Look” at Football Manager 26, showcasing the game’s upgraded visuals. With Football Manager 26, the series has started using the Unity Engine, overhauling the game’s visual makeup.

With these new visuals come higher PC system requirements. While the game is much more demanding than prior Football Manager games, the game’s hardware requirements remain low. For Football Manager 24, gamers simply needed a Windows 10/11 PC with a DirectX 11-compliant GPU. With Football Manager 26, PC gamers need better GPUs.

Football Manager 26 PC system requirements

For desktop PCs, Nvidia’s RTX 2060 and AMD’s RX 5600 XT are recommended, as are Intel’s i5-9600 and AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600 CPUs. 12GB of system memory is also recommended. All of this hardware is over six years old, and none of it was high-end when it launched. If these specifications are anything to go by, all modern gaming PCs should be able to run FM 26 with ease.

Based on this game’s minimum system requirements, GPUs as old as Nvidia’s GTX 960 and AMD’s R9 380 will be able to run this game. These GPUs both launched in 2015 as mid-range products. Simply put, PC gamers will not need a high-end PC to run FM 26.
