Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is now available, but only on PS4

– Update – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will release on PC on April 30th.

Activision has officially released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, but the catch is that the game is only available on Sony’s PlayStation 4 console. 

That’s right, PC gamers and Xbox users will have to wait, making this one of the strangest exclusives that we have seen in recent history. Seriously, why limit this remaster of an eleven-year-old exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation platform? Right now, PC gamers and Xbox users can pre-order Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, but at this time we have no firm release date for the game on those platforms. 

With this release, Modern Warfare’s campaign has been remastered with improved textures, more accurate animations, physically-based rendering, HDR lighting and other graphical upgrades. This remaster was created by Beenox with the assistance of Infinity Ward, the creators of the original Modern Warfare 2. 

The game costs £19.99/$19.99 on the PlayStation Network, with the game coming with the “Classic Ghost Bundle” for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Call of Duty: Warzone. This content pack comes with a classic operator skin for Ghost, additional weapon blueprints, a new finishing move, an extra voice clip and a Ghost emblem. 

As the game’s name suggests, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered lacks multiplayer modes, making this game a single-player only experience.
